The Indiana School for the Deaf will host the 88th Conference of Educational Administrators of Schools and Programs for the Deaf the weekend of April 25th to 28th at the Hyatt Regency in Indianapolis. This prestigious conference will bring together the majority of Deaf School Leaders from across the country to our institution to share ideas, notes and strategies to help Deaf students everywhere grow. The Conference of Educational Administrators of Schools and Programs for the Deaf is an association of schools and educational programs involved with the education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.
The CEASD is one of our oldest professional societies regarding Deaf Administrators. Founded in 1868, CEASD is committed to the promotion of excellence within a continuum of equitable educution opportunities for children and adults who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. At the national level, CEASD serves as an advocate for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing with governmental bodies concerned with the establishment of educational policy and the implementation of federal legislation.
The CEASD also provides an opportunity for professional educators to work together for the improvement of schools and educational programs for individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The organization brings together a rich composite of resources and reaches out to both enhance educational programs and influence educational policy makers.
