Does Hertz Furniture carry Eco-friendly green products?
We carry over 1,500 Certified Green products. Just look for the Certified Green designation next to many of our products. Please see our certified green page for a list of our eco-friendly products.
Does Hertz Furniture sell products that are Made in USA?

Confirming or Cancelling an Order

How will I know that my order has been received and processed?
You will receive an e-mail confirmation notice within a few minutes of your online purchase. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, please contact us during business hours at 888-286-3461, and we will ensure that your order is confirmed and processed.
Can I cancel my order?

You may not cancel custom orders (such as many upholstered items).You may cancel your non-custom order before it has been sent to production. Your cancellation may be accepted even after your order has been sent to production, but additional fees (such as restocking and/or cancellation) will be billed to your account.

Once your order has shipped it cannot be canceled.

We will send you a cancellation notice to confirm cancellation of your order.

Can I track the status of my order?
You can track the status of your order by visiting our Order Status page.

The status of your purchase will be available as soon as we have processed your order and have shipping information. It will take us about two days to process your order.

Shipping, Delivery, and Installation

When will I receive my order?
Because your order is being shipped directly from the factory, lead times will vary. See the Shipping Info section on the page of the item you have purchased for an estimate of when your order will be shipped. Our wide selection of items designated as "QuickShip" will leave the factory within 10 business days.
Does Hertz Furniture offer free shipping?
We're happy to offer free shipping on over 1,000 of our products. Just look for the Free Shipping icon in the Shipping Information section of many of our products, or visit our Free Shipping page for a full listing of items that ship for free.
How much will shipping cost?
If the item you are purchasing displays the Free Shipping icon, our price includes free shipping anywhere in the contiguous USA. Hertz Furniture will provide you with online freight quotes on orders less than $3,000.00. For larger orders, we will contact you personally to provide you with shipping charges or you can choose to chat or call us. Our customized shipping quotes for large orders will maximize your savings.
Can my order be shipped internationally?
Yes, we will provide you with competitive international shipping rates and help you with all of the necessary arrangements. Please call us at 888-286-3461 for a custom international shipping quote.
How will my order be shipped?
Your order will be shipped using either UPS/FedEx Ground or a Common Carrier (trucking company) depending on the size and weight of your items. You can verify which of these services will be used to deliver your order by checking the Shipping Information section on your product's page.
How will FedEx/ UPS Ground or Common Carrier deliver my furniture?

UPS/FedEx Ground: Smaller products will be shipped via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground. UPS/FedEx will carry your delivery off of their truck and into the first dry area of your building.

Common Carrier (Trucking Company) Delivery: We will send your larger shipments via truck. "Tailgate Delivery" with a common carrier (i.e. ConWay, Roadway, ABF) is standard. The driver will move the furniture to the back (tailgate) of the truck, and you will be responsible for unloading your furniture and carrying it into the building.

Are there additional delivery services available for Common-Carrier Delivery?

Yes, most common carriers offer optional services for additional fees. These services include Notify Before Delivery, Liftgate Delivery and/or Assisted Inside Delivery. These extra services are available in the checkout process.

If you choose Notify Before Delivery, when your merchandise is ready to be shipped, the trucking company will call you within approximately 24 hours to arrange a convenient time for delivery.

Hertz Furniture recommends Liftgate Delivery for your heavier or larger shipments. A liftgate (a steel elevator-like platform at the end of the truck) will be used to lower your merchandise off of the truck and down to street level.

Inside Delivery is recommended for heavier items that you are unable to bring inside without assistance. The truck driver will carry it into the first dry area of your building.

Are installation services available?

Complimentary Limited Lifetime/ 25-Year Warranty

How long does coverage for my purchase last?
For Academia Furniture Industry products, our exclusive Limited Lifetime Warranty covers your purchase for the original purchaser's lifetime. If you have purchased other products, our Complimentary Extended Warranty covers your merchandise for 25 years from the date of your purchase in most cases. Please see individual product pages for exact legnth of warranty.
What is covered under Hertz Furniture's warranty?
Defects in materials or workmanship are covered under Hertz Furniture's warranty with some exceptions. See our Customer Service page for more details.
Does Hertz Furniture's warranty vary from state to state?
Yes, our warranty grants you certain legal rights, but you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. In these states, incidental or consequential damages will not be excluded from our warranty.
What will Hertz Furniture do for items that are covered under warranty?
Hertz will provide the necessary repairs, or replace the product as we see fit. This service includes tailgate delivery of the repaired or replaced product. Please contact Customer Service for details 888-286-3461.

Returns and Damages

Does Hertz Furniture accept returns?

Yes, we accept returns on certain items. Contact our customer service department at 888-286-3461 for return authorization before returning anything. You may be charged restocking fees as well as round-trip freight charges. Items must be returned in the original packaging, unassembled and unused.

Products may not be returned after assembly. Some products (e.g. upholstered items) are considered custom items and are non-returnable. Returns will not be accepted more than 30 days after delivery. Please contact Customer Service to inquire about returns 888-286-3461.

Purchase and Payment

Does Hertz Furniture accept purchase orders?
We gladly accept purchase orders from public schools, government organizations and approved accounts. Orders will be processed upon receipt of a signed copy. If you are an approved account, simply fax your signed purchase order to 800-842-9290 or follow the steps in our web checkout. If you are not yet an approved account, give us a call at 888-286-3461.
When do I need to provide payment for my purchase?

If you have an open account with Hertz Furniture, payment is due 30 days after the date of invoice. You are required to pay for products that are received, but not for products on backorder.

Delinquent accounts are subject to a 1.5% monthly interest fee and the customer will be responsible for any legal and collection fees. Jurisdiction for all legal issues will be the court system of the State of New Jersey.

Does Hertz Furniture offer Financing?
Yes, we're happy to offer financing for qualified candidates. Please visit our financing page or call customer service 888-286-3461 for more information.
Does Hertz Furniture charge sales tax?
Yes, we charges sales tax, but only on orders shipped to the states of CA, NY, NJ, and PA. If you are a tax-exempt organization, please let us know at the time of purchase.
